Ms. Lynch has over twenty five years of experience in intellectual property matters including patents, trademarks, copyrights, licensing and trade secrets. Ms. Lynch has experience in private law practice, university setting and the corporate environment. As a result of these varied professional experiences, Ms. Lynch is able to bring her broad and varied expertise to assist her clients in a variety of intellectual property matters.
Ms. Lynch practice focuses on providing “in-house” legal services to her clients on a part-time basis. Ms. Lynch acts as in-house intellectual property counsel for small and mid-size companies. Some areas of legal services that she provides include preparing, filing, and prosecuting utility and design patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Ms. Lynch has also had significant experience in advising clients in the prosecution of international applications including PCT applications and national phase applications. In addition, Ms. Lynch renders to clients patentability, infringement and invalidity opinions. Ms. Lynch also assists her clients in patent due diligence efforts.

With regard to trademarks, Ms. Lynch has prosecuted trademarks and service marks before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Ms Lynch has successfully aided clients in the selection, use, and enforcement of trademarks and service marks. Ms. Lynch has particular expertise in the area of pharmaceutical and medical device trademark matters.
Ms. Lynch provides advice to clients with respect to copyright matters. The firm participates in a number of copyright enforcement programs for motion picture owners. Ms. Lynch has successfully represented copyright owners in multiple copyright infringement matters involving bitTorrent copyright litigation.
Ms. Lynch also provides advice and counsel on a variety of trade secret matters. Ms. Lynch has advised in a number of different trade secret litigation matters.
Ms. Lynch further provides counsel in areas of intellectual property asset management and aids her clients in the establishment and administration of systems to capture, protect and fully exploit all client intellectual property. Ms. Lynch further assists clients in the area of transactional matters involving intellectual property including licensing, confidentiality agreements, joint venture agreements, supply agreements, and the purchase and/or sale of an intellectual property asset.
Ms. Lynch has provided pro bono services for the North Carolina Bar Association’s NC LEAP and Legal Aid programs. She is a member of the 2016 Pro Bono Honor Society.
