Construction Law
Construction cases require an experienced attorney who understands the industry, including the complexities of the construction process. Our partner, Matt Van Sickle, has advised and represented clients on a variety of construction matters, from assisting with the drafting of the initial labor and supply contracts, to handling disputes once the project is underway, to prosecuting and defending bond claim after the work is complete.
When disputes arise at the project, Matt can put his knowledge and experience to use to help you address unpaid change orders, delay claims, and lien claims. If problems arise after the completion of the project, Matt can assist you with defect defense and insurance coverage analysis.
A majority of Matt’s construction practice involves advising subcontractors and suppliers. For some of these companies, Matt has provided a full complement of legal services, including construction litigation, commercial litigation, and employment law. This approach gives small and medium construction businesses an efficient, comprehensive approach to obtaining legal services, while maintaining the personal attention provided by a small practice.
